LAKE WALES, Florida — 700 block of Hillside ave.
Two Officers from the Two Lake Wales Police Department were responding to a call of ‘shots fired.’
When they arrived on scene, they were immediately fired upon. The two Officers were hit by the gunfire and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody alive.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is assisting with the investigation. A press conference will be held at 9:30 p.m. at the Lake Wales Police Department with more information.
