
LOUISIANA — Two Baton Rouge Police Officers were shot Sunday afternoon, one fatally.
The incident unfolded on Conrad Drive as police were attempting to locate a homicide suspect. When officers approached the home, the suspect opened fire—striking the two officers.
The suspect, 36-year-old Ronnie Caddo, was taken into custody alive after an hours long standoff. Caddo was wanted for killing an unnamed relative earlier in the day, WAFB reported.
The deceased office was a 22-year veteran of the force and the second officer has served for 7 years–neither have been identified.
Video streamed live on Facebook captured gunfire and a chaotic scene.
