8 Indicted, Including Top Cuomo Aide, In Alleged Corruption Scheme

NEW YORK — Eight people, including a former top Cuomo aide, have been indicted related to alleged bid rigging projects in New York, including SolarCity.

Those indicted are (via Syracuse.com):

Joseph Percoco, 47, a former top aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Alain Kaloyeros, 60, the former head of SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Louis P. Ciminelli, 61, chairman and CEO of Buffalo-based LPCiminelli, a developer.

Michael W. Laipple, 51, president of the infrastructure division for LPCiminelli.

Kevin C. Schuler, 45, a senior vice president for LPCiminelli.

Peter G. “Braith” Kelly, 53, a former energy company executive at Competitive Power Ventures, owner of a planned 650-megawatt power plant in Orange County.

Steven F. Aiello, 58, and Joseph B. Gerardi Jr., 57, partners in Cor Development Co.
