UPDATE: Suspect down, hostage retrieved, conditions not known.
CALIFORNIA — A man has reportedly held his ex-girlfriend hostage after opening fire in a Redlands store on Thursday.
The scene is at an Office Depot in the area of 6th Street and E. High Avenue, according to NBC-LA.
At least one person has been shot. The suspect and the hostage fled to a nearby street and the man was in a standoff with SWAT while he sat on a sidewalk.
There was a large police presence in the area.
