American Airlines Flights were ground stopped nationwide Thursday due to a computer glitches, according to the FAA.
The airline released a statement: “We’re working to resolve technical issues impacting several airports as quickly as possible. We will provide updates and more information as they become available. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”
From CNBC: The FAA database said only that the cause of the ground stop was “airline issues.” The database indicated the stoppage would last until at least 2:30 p.m. ET.
It’s unclear what caused the computer issues.
