BREAKING: Arrest Made In Yesterday’s Shooting at Sacramento City College

CALIFORNIA — There was a shooting on the campus of Sacramento City College Thursday afternoon. The shooting was reported to police just before 4 p.m. in the 3800 Block of Freeport Boulevard.

3 people were shot and one has been pronounced dead. Detectives made an arrest on one of the subjects who was involved in the altercation.

The man who sustained a minor wound, identified as Rico Ridgeway, has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon and placed on a parole hold in connection with this case.

Ridgeway was booked into the Sacramento County Jail earlier this morning. (booking photo of Ridgeway included in post) The suspected shooter remains outstanding and detectives are actively investigating this incident.

The victim has been identified by the coroner’s office as 25-year-old Roman Gonzalez.
