SEATTLE — A protest at the University of Washington over Milo Yiannopoulos turned ugly on Friday night.
Seattle police reported that at least one person had been shot in the stomach and had to be treated for his injuries.
Debris and paint balloons were thrown at police and other members of the crowd.
One young man was hit in the face.
The young man claimed he was pulled into a crowd and beaten because he was wearing a Trump hat.
“The beat him like a bunch of pirhanas, they just attacked my son,” said his father. “I tried to get in there and tried to defend him and they started slugging me too.”
