MARYLAND — A Baltimore police officer was found dead in the 500 block of Harborview Drive Tuesday, police say.
Officers were responding to a ‘well-being’ check when they discovered a male face down in the water, in between a boat and the dock, WBAL reported.
The man was identified as Baltimore Police Officer Prashanth Davis, 34.
“This is a very sad day for the men and women of the Baltimore Police Department,” said Interim Commissioner Kevin Davis. “On behalf of the entire agency, we offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of Officer Prashat Davis.”
An investigation is underway but officials do not suspect foul play.
Officer Davis was an active member of the Baltimore Police Department, serving on the force for seven years.
