JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA — A 12-year-old boy alerted authorities after he saw the man beating the young girl, Jacksonville.com reported.
He described the man as a black man dressed in a red shirt and blue pants and the girl who he was carrying and beating as a young white girl who looked to be between 2 and 3 years old, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The girl had brown hair and was possibly wearing something green.
The boy who reported the incident tried to confront the man about 5:30 p.m. but said the man fled the area with the girl, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
There haven’t been any reports of missing children in the area so the Sheriff’s Office does not have any details on who the young girl might be.
