MASSACHUSETTS — Police were searching for 62-year-old Beth Birnbaum after she vanished from the Care One HealthCenter in Newton on Tuesday.
David Collignan, 52, was named as a kidnapping suspect, police said. Collignan is from Florida.
According to WHDH, the woman requires medical attention and is in danger.
Birnbaum’s wheelchair was still in the building and she was never signed out.
The suspect vehicle is a gray 2015 Honda Fit with Massachusetts license plate number 744 YR1.
“We’re concerned for her safety, we know that she needs medical attention. We are looking for Mr. Collignon and we’re looking for him for kidnapping,” Newton Police Lt. Bruce Apotheker told WFXT.
Officials did not say what the victim’s relationship is with the suspect.
