BALTIMORE — According to a report by WJLA, the Freddie Gray investigation turned up no evidence that Gray’s fatal injuries were caused during the videotaped arrest and interaction with police officers.

The Baltimore Sun is reporting Gray struck a protruding bolt in the back of the vehicle.

From ABC7: “… the medical examiner found Gray’s catastrophic injury was caused when he slammed into the back of the police transport van, apparently breaking his neck; a head injury he sustained matches a bolt in the back of the van.”

“I heard a little banging like he was banging his head,” Donta Allen, a second prisoner, told WJZ-TV on Thursday.

The Washington Post reported, citing a witness who was in the van with Gray, that he was banging his own head against the van walls, attempting to injure himself.

The results of the investigation were not made public by the Baltimore Police Department. Developing.
