UPDATE: Lockdown Lifted At Shoreline, WA Schools, Suspect At Large

UPDATE:

Meridian Park Elementary school, located in Shoreline, Washington was put on high alert after an employee encountered an individual with a firearm approximately one hour before school began on Thursday morning.

According to the school employee, a man approached the employee at approximately 8:10 a.m. on school grounds and made a threat.

As a precaution, all schools in the Shoreline district were put on lock-down while police searched for the suspect.

The suspect, still at large, is described as a male wearing camouflage pants with a dark hoodie. His age and race are unknown.

THE DISTRICT-WIDE LOCKDOWN FOR SHORELINE SCHOOLS HAS BEEN LIFTED.


Reports have come in about a gunman on the premises at Meridian Park Elementary school, located in Shoreline, Washington. A description about a suspect is below. Students have been instructed not to bring children to school. Students and faculty that are at school have been declared safe.

ALL SHORELINE SCHOOLS HAVE BEEN CLOSED DUE TO POLICE ACTIVITY IN THE AREA

Drivers are instructed to avoid Northbound 175 if at all possible due to traffic.
