[UPDATE: Shelter In Place Lifted at Ball State; “There is no ongoing threat”, University Says]
MUNCIE, Indiana — Ball State University declared a shelter-in-place order Thursday after an armed man was reported on campus.
The Alert on the school’s website said: “Concerning man with a gun call white male pink shirt khaki pants gun on his hip was last seen in the area of woodworth. Everyone needs to stay in a safe place for now.An all clear message will be sent when clear.”
A second alert read: “Concerning the man with a gun also looking for a white male with long black shirt and khaki shorts. Stay in safe place until all clear”
According to WISH, ‘someone reported a man was walking on campus with a holstered gun.’
No injuries have been reported.
