INDIANAPOLIS — A suspect was fatally shot by officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department following a high-speed police chase Wednesday. The entire incident was captured on Facebook Live.

The suspect, Sean “DaDon” Reed, reportedly ran from cops after they tried to pull him over for driving recklessly. Police said Reed led officers on a chase up to 90 MPH.

In the footage below, Reed is heard saying he’s going to stop the car and run before the phone drops and gunfire is heard. His last words appear to have been “fuck you.”

“Shots were fired. It is believed at this time that shots were fired by both the officer and the suspect,” Assistant Chief Chris Bailey said.

“The officer always has discretion whether or not he’s going to address the driving behavior or not, but the driving behavior was such that the officer felt it needed to be addressed,” Bailey said. “Attempted to make a traffic stop, the person driving the vehicle didn’t stop, and that’s what started the chase.”

After the shooting, an officer apparently is heard saying, “Oh he actually got one off?” Another officer replies, “Yeah.” — “Yep. Looks like it’s gonna be a closed casket homie.”

The officers involved in the shooting were placed on leave pending the result of the investigation.
