Multiple reports broke the news wire that Jet Blue Airlines, one of the largest airlines in the nation, were grounded nationwide.

It appears a systems outage at the central data center caused the nationwide suspension causing havoc on fliers using the airline.

JetBlue has confirmed that some flights were still departing, but most would be delayed or cancelled.

Shortly after the news broke, users who tried to access their website were prompted with a timeout message.

JetBlue informed customers via Twitter by explaining ‘we’re experiencing intermittent network issued due to a data center power outage.’

Passengers took to social media to share pictures of the chaotic scene and to vent their anger at the airline operators.
