CALABASAS, Calif. – Basketball legend Kobe Bryant was among nine people killed in a helicopter crash in Calabasas Sunday. He was 41-years-old
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office said the Sikorsky S-76 helicopter went down on a hillside at Las Virgenes Road and Willow Glen Street.
TMZ reported: Kobe was traveling with at least 3 other people in his private helicopter when it went down. A fire broke out. Emergency personnel responded, but nobody on board survived. 5 people are confirmed dead. We’re told Vanessa Bryant was not among those on board.
Bryant’s daughter, Gianna Maria was also on board the helicopter and died in the crash. She was only 13-years-old.
Weather in the area appeared to be foggy. Although, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Bryant leaves behind a wife and four daughters.
He played his entire 20-year NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers. He retired in 2016 a five-time NBA champion.
