FOUNTAIN VALLEY, California — A suspect is in custody after entering a Southern California hospital with at least two weapons Wednesday.

Witnesses say the man, wearing a surgical mask, walked into Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center holding what appeared to be a gun. Local media reports staff members tackled him and waited for police to arrive.

CBS-LA reporter Michele Gile says the suspect had a flare gun and replica handgun. She also reports the man fired the flare gun.  The unidentified gunman said he wanted to “shoot up” hospital.
