CALIFORNIA — Police in Ontario, California were investigating an explosion at a Sam’s Club Thursday afternoon. The scene is at 951 N Milliken Avenue.
The ‘explosive device’ was detonated around 2:00 p.m. local time–there were no reports of injuries.
“It has been determined the suspect detonated a small explosive device in the store,” Ontario Police said. “There appears to be no structural damage or any injuries at this point. All employees and customers are accounted for.”
A suspect has been detained by police.
Officers later discovered a second device in the car of the suspect and are searching a home in connection with the investigation.
A motive was not known.
