Two children and a mother have been stabbed to death after the mothers ex-boyfriend broke into a home on early Tuesday. An active investigation is now underway at the apartment on Atlantic Avenue.
Police were requested shortly before 2a.m. after they received reports of a stabbing.
Columbus police report that two children aged between six and eight were brutally killed, as well as the mother.
Investigators on the scene have reported that the suspect is the ex-boyfriend of the woman.
The woman’s current boyfriend walked into the home to find the man, a fight then ensued.
Both were injured and taken to hospital. “There’s children with their throats slit,” one 911 caller reportedly said.
