Jet Fuel Pipeline Ruptured In Brooklyn; FDNY HAZMAT On Scene

BROOKLYN — FDNY was on the scene at Junius Street & Linden Blvd for a possible fuel leak from the Buckeye Pipeline on Thursday. They transmitted a two alarm assignment.

Buckeye Pipeline personnel were sent to 1600 Linden Blvd, one block from the above intersection. They remotely shut down the pipeline and the situation was isolated.

The pipeline carries jet fuel and gasoline. The extent of the leak was being determined. There were no reported injuries at the time of this posting.

DEP HAZMAT, NY State DEC, and National Grid were also called in.

CAU, the USCG and PANYNJ were notified.
