ELBA, N.Y. — A Mercy Flight air ambulance helicopter crashed in the Town of Elba, New York on Tuesday afternoon, killing the two people on board.
According to New York State police, around 1:00 P.M., Troopers responded to the crash site near Norton Road in the town of Elba, Genesee County. The helicopter was on a training mission.
Local media reported the aircraft may have become caught in electric lines.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) are assisting the NY State Police in the investigation.
