Gerald Rathey was just caught by SAPD POP and Patrol Officers. Rathey is suspected in a Family Violence case yesterday where a 1-year-old girl was left tied to a chair. He is being questioned by detectives. Details soon to follow.
Earlier Report: The mother made the horrific discovery after getting into an argument with her ‘male companion,’ over text messages according to Police.
After the argument the woman rushed to her home and found the 1-year-old child, standing in a chair, blindfolded and tied to a television set with rope. The man was gone.
The suspect is 30-year-old Gerald Rathey.
Rathey and the woman were apparently arguing over selling a television set, News4SanAntonio reported.
The woman told police Rathey was “adamant’ the TV not be sold.

Police are searching for the suspect. An investigation is ongoing.
