BREAKING NEWS: At Least 9 New Jersey High Schools Received Bomb And Mass Shooting Threat

Nine high schools in New Jersey have either been placed on lockdown or evacuated after receiving bomb or mass shooting threats.

The caller claimed to have planted bombs at the schools and also threatened mass shooting, NBC New York reports.

Officials at the high schools affected received threats by someone claiming to have planted a bomb.

All of the schools are in Bergen County.

One of the voicemail’s left threatened a mass shooting.

At least three of the high schools received the threat via voicemail, police confirmed.

Clifton police reassured concerned parents and students by releasing a statement: “At this time, there is no indication of any validity to the threat. However, all precautions are being taken in order to ensure safety of the entire school district. Additional information will be made available as the investigation progresses.”
