WASHINGTON — The 14th Street Bridge was closed in both directions Thursday afternoon as police investigated a suspicious package.
The item in question reportedly fell from a truck around noon, causing suspicion.
According to NBC Washington, 14th Street SW is closed from Indiana Avenue SW to C Street SW and Maine Avenue is closed from 12th to 15th streets SW.
Residents are being asked to avoid the area.
