The St. Louis campus of Ranken Technical College was placed on lockdown Tuesday as police investigated a nearby shooting.
“Lockdown Now! :: Potential life threatening emergency on St. Louis campus. Stay in lockdown until advised,” the school posted on Facebook.
The scene is at 4431 Finney Avenue.
Police later confirmed a man riding a motorcycle was shot near the campus and the school went into lockdown as a precaution.

The wounded man was taken to a hospital–condition unknown.
The investigation continues.
