A bank robber took 11 hostages inside a Jacksonville Florida bank, Thursday morning.
The incident happened at the Community First Credit Union on Edgewood Avenue West, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
Hostage negotiators and a SWAT team were on the scene.
Around an hour later, the Sheriff Department tweeted that all of the 11 hostages had been safely rescued by law enforcement. It is not yet known if any injuries were sustained.
Lem Turner Road and Edgewood Avenue West roads are now blocked.
Businesses in the surrounding area have been placed on lockdown.
