ISRAEL — Several “Code Red” sirens were sounded in Southern Israel, Wednesday night. Sirens were going off in the cities of Netivot, Ashkelon and the Sdot Negev and Hof Ashkelon regional councils on Wednesday night at around 11 pm.

Initial reports indicated at least three rockets exploded in open areas near Netivot. Israeli security forces were searching the area for fallen rockets.

There was no immediate comment from the IDF. Soldiers were dispatched to comb the region for impact sites, according to media reports.

On May 26, Palestinian terrorists shot a Grad rocket into Israel, striking an area outside the town of Gan Yavneh, in an attack that broke several weeks of calm.
