Senator Barbara Boxer of California has announced that she will not be running for reelection for the United States Senate in 2016. She said that she will not be retiring from politics and plans to ensure that the seat remains “progressive.”
Boxer joined the U.S. Senate in 1993 and served as a United States Congresswoman before her tenure in the Senate.
She made the announcement in a video on her YouTube channel.
