Sheriff IDs Mother, 4 Children Killed In Tenn. Murder-Suicide

COLUMBIA, TENN. — Five people were found dead following an apparent murder-suicide in Columbia, Tennessee Monday night, officials say.

Maury County District Attorney Brent Cooper says a mother and her four adopted children are dead and ‘it appears’ to be a murder-suicide.

Two guns were found at the scene and the mother appears to have committed the horrific act.

There are ‘multiple scenes throughout the house,’ Maury County Sheriff Bucky Rowland said during a press conference.

The involved are identified as Cynthia Collier, 55, 14-year-old Bo Li, 14-year-old Meigan Lin, Lia Lin and 17-year-old Kaileigh Lin. A motive remains unclear.

The Maury County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation.

No further details were released.
