Man Kidnapped Wife, Shot Guard at US Census Bureau, Led Officers on Chase -@AP

Silver Hill Road Suitland, MD. — A shooting has been reported at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Maryland. SWAT and ATF is on scene.

From NBC Washington:

“The gunman was shot multiple times, but there was conflicting information about his condition Thursday night.

The gunman is also a suspect in an abduction of his girlfriend, who has been found safe, and a shooting on Bruce Place in D.C., police chief Cathy Lanier said Thursday night.”

Situation described as ‘active shooting’ inside the building.

At least one male is being treated for gunshot wounds to the upper-body.

The victim is a guard at the facility, He is in extremely critical condition.

Authorities investigating the shooting believe an earlier car chase involving police in D.C. may be related to the Census Bureau incident.
