NASHVILLE — Detectives investigating Saturday’s fatal stabbing of two men outside The Dogwood Bar at 1907 Division Street are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying four people, three men and a woman, wanted for questioning in the case.

Detectives have identified and are seeking Michael D. Mosley, 23, for questioning.

Clayton Beathard, 22, and Paul Trapeni III, 21, were stabbed shortly before 3 a.m. during a fight outside the bar that, detectives believe, originated during an argument over a woman. They died after being rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

According to the Tennessean, ‘Beathard, who played football at Long Island University and Battle Ground Academy, was the brother of NFL quarterback C.J. Beathard of the San Francisco 49ers, brother of musician Tucker Beathard, son of country music songwriter Casey Beathard and grandson of NFL Hall of Famer Bobby Beathard, who won four Super Bowls as a general manager.’’

A third stabbing victim, a 21-year-old man, suffered injuries to his eye and arm. He remains hospitalized.

Anyone seeing Michael Mosley or knowing his whereabouts is asked to contact the Emergency Communications Center at 615-862-8600, or Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Mosley is last known to have lived in Pegram, Tennessee.
