L.A. — Someone called 911 and reported a hostage situation at El Camino College.
When Officers arrived, they didn’t find anything unusual.
Officers noticed a man talking on a phone as 911 received a second hostage related call.
The suspect went to pull what appeared to be a weapon from his pocket, that’s when Police fired upon him.
The man was believed to be the person who claimed a false hostage situation, according to KTLA.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said a “suspect” was transported from the scene in unknown condition, and confirmed an “officer-involved shooting” had occurred.
