California- Breaking911 is getting unconfirmed reports of an officer down in San Diego after reported shots fired. It is unclear at this time the extent of the officers injuries.
City officials say that the suspect is telling police that he has taken his mother-in-law hostage. This comes after he had reportedly shot at police officers.
It is also reported that the suspect may be former military and suffering from PTSD and is heavily armed.
Police currently have the suspect surrounded in an apartment complex. It appears that people in the complex are currently sheltering in place or are being evacuated. Swat and negotiators are on scene working to resolve the situation.
