On Thursday, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed two bills: one that would prohibit drag show performances on public property or in venues where minors could witness them, known as the “felony drag” bill, and another that would prevent transgender youth from obtaining gender-affirming medical treatment.
The Volunteer State is now the first in the U.S. to ban drag shows in front of children.
