VARNELL, Georgia — Corner of HWY 2 and 71 — Three people are dead after an incident at a gas station in Georgia.
The Whitfield County Sheriff’s department says a woman and an 8-year-old boy were murdered and another man found dead at the business, a McDonald’s/Shell Station.
Police are looking at two cars near gas pumps where the shooting allegedly occurred, NewsChannel9 reported.
The investigation is considered a murder-suicide. The relationship of the victims wasn’t released.
Varnell is a city in Whitfield County, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Dalton, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,491 at the 2000 census.
