NORRISTOWN, Pa. — Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and West Norriton Township Police Chief A. Dale Mabry announce the arrest of Naseema Sami, 43, of Folsom, Pa., for two counts of First-Degree Murder and related charges in the deaths of Lila Frost, 78, and Lorraine Gigliello, 68, in Frost’s residence on West Indian Lane in West Norriton Township.

On Sunday, March 10, at 8:17 p.m., the West Norriton Township Police responded to a neighbor’s call for a wellness check of his landlord, Ms. Frost, who lived at 10 West Indian Lane. Police arrived to find the front door of the apartment secured but were able to gain access through the rear door. Officers found the defendant and her 6-year-old son underneath a bed. Officers also located a deceased woman in the bathroom and a second deceased woman in the kitchen.

Montgomery County Detectives and West Norriton Police launched a joint investigation into the two deaths. The investigation revealed that Sami and her son had driven to the residence on Thursday, March 7, looking for help from Frost, who had previously been her landlord 20 years prior.

The defendant entered the apartment through an unlocked door to find no one present. Later, the defendant answered a knock at the door and allowed Ms. Gigliello into the apartment, then killed her when she reached for a phone to call police. Frost arrived home during the attack and then was also killed. The investigation also found evidence that the defendant had attempted to clean the home to remove evidence of the attack.

“A quiet community along the Schuylkill River in West Norriton Township was rocked on Sunday when the bodies of two elderly women were discovered. They were murdered by a former renter, who had lived at the property 20 years ago and had returned because the landlord, Ms. Frost, had offered to help her if she ever needed anything. Naseema Sami then murdered Ms. Frost and Ms. Gigliello, who was just visiting her friend,” said Steele. “Our hearts go out to the families of these two victims and pledge to them that we will seek justice for their murders.”

On Monday, March 11, Forensic Pathologist Dr. Ian Hood performed autopsies on the two bodies and determined the cause of death for Ms. Frost was multiple injuries and the cause of death for Ms. Gigliello was head trauma. The manner of death for each was homicide.

Sami was charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder and related charges. She is in the process of being arraigned, and a preliminary hearing will be scheduled. Bail is not available for First-Degree Murder charges.
