Woman Fatally Stabs Man, Tells Cops He Committed Suicide

SPRINGDALE, Arkansas — August 16, 2015 — This morning at 0246 Officers responded to 514 Butterfield Coach Road E102. The initial report was that a Hispanic male had attempted suicide.

When officers arrived they located a Hispanic male inside the apartment that was deceased (stab wounds).

The victim’s girlfriend, Wanda I. Andaluz-Prado (H, F 12/3/70), and other witnesses were questioned about the incident.

It was soon determined through collection of evidence and witnesses statements that the victim did not harm himself.

From 5NewsOnline: Andaluz-Prado claimed that during an argument with the man, he picked up a knife and then she left the apartment, according to the report. Andaluz-Prado returned to the apartment shortly after and claimed she found the man dead lying on the floor in the kitchen, the report states.

Detectives interviewed a witness who said she witnessed Andaluz-Prado stab the victim, the report states.

During an interview with detectives, Andaluz-Prado later admitted to stabbing the victim one time and then cleaning the knife and placing it near his body, according to the report.

 

Prado was arrested and charged with Murder in the 1st Degree and Tampering with evidence.

The victim’s name is not being released at this time. The investigation is continuing and no further information will be released at this time.
