CALIFORNIA — A woman reportedly shot herself while attempting to flee police in San Diego Tuesday.
The scene is at the Horton Plaza shopping mall, located at 324 Horton Plaza.
According to the LA Times, Officers tried to pull the woman over near the mall when she fled and ditched her car in a parking garage.
At least seven police officers swarmed the mall as the woman ran for several minutes.
Police say the woman shot herself in front of multiple shoppers–some shoppers believed officers fired the shot.
Officials did not immediately confirm local reports that the woman died.
Two passengers in the suspect’s car were also detained.
