HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Officers responded to a call about shots fired during a domestic situation at the 2500 block of Bonnie Oaks Drive Sunday evening.
According to WAFF, the woman had a restraining order against her ex. The ex allegedly showed up and broke into the home, through the back door.
The male suspect fired a gunshot at the woman, she returned fire, striking him.
The female suspect wasn’t hurt. When Officers arrived, the woman ignored an Officer’s command to drop a shotgun.
When the woman refused to put down the shotgun, the Officer fired.
The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries; the woman was transported with a non-life-threatening injury, the report said.
