#BREAKING: Woman Shot by Police After Shootout With Ex — ALABAMA

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Officers responded to a call about shots fired during a domestic situation at theĀ 2500 block of Bonnie Oaks Drive Sunday evening.

According to WAFF, the woman had a restraining order against her ex. The ex allegedly showed up and broke into the home, through the back door.

The male suspect fired a gunshot at the woman, she returned fire, striking him.

The female suspect wasn’t hurt. When Officers arrived, the woman ignored an Officer’s command to drop a shotgun.

When the woman refused to put down the shotgun, the Officer fired.

The man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries; the woman was transported with a non-life-threatening injury, the report said.

Huntsville is a city located primarily in Madison County in the central part of the far northern region of the State of Alabama.

Huntsville is the county seat of Madison County. The city extends west into neighboring Limestone County.
