Brooklyn: NYPD Investigate Gruesome Murder; Man Found With Slit Neck

New York, New York—Index crimes continue to decline in New York City. When comparing 2015 through October 31st, versus the same period in 2014, crime is down 3.1 percent or 2,817 fewer crimes, the NYPD said.

On Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at approximately 0018 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male assaulted inside of 546 McDonald Avenue, within the confines of the 66 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 57-year-old male unconscious and unresponsive with deep lacerations to his throat, within the basement area of the location. EMS also responded and pronounced the victim DOA at the scene. There are no arrest(s) and the investigation is ongoing.
