LOS ANGELES — A 46-year-old man was sentenced today to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 50 years to life for killing his parents-in-law in his West Covina home, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced.

On Oct. 1, a jury found Caminero Wang guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.

Deputy District Attorney Kelsey McKeever-Unger said the jury also found true a special circumstance allegation of multiple murders and special allegations of using a handgun which caused great bodily injury and death.

Wang executed his father-in-law and mother-in-law at his home in the 1300 block of East Oahu Avenue on April 13, 2016, the prosecutor said. Victims Shu Zhang and Aiping Diao, both 60 years old, were visiting from China, according to evidence presented in court.

Wang had previously threatened his wife’s life and the life of her parents, the prosecutor added.

The case was investigated by the West Covina Police Department.
