Chevrolet sent out an interesting press release regarding the new ‘Cruze.’

The statement posted on the media relations page said:

“Words alone can’t describe the new 2016 Chevrolet Cruze, so to celebrate its upcoming reveal, the media advisory is being issued in emoji, the small emotionally expressive digital images and icons in electronic communication.”

Then, the following emoji:

If you’re too lazy to decode the 2015 publiciy stunt, no worries… The release went on to say “…watch for the decoder at 2 p.m. EDT on Tuesday. #ChevyGoesEmoji”

From BusinessInsider: — ”

Chevy is encouraging intrepid readers to attempt to decode the news ahead of the real announcement on Tuesday. Some of the pictograms are pretty clear (happy face/heart/car is pretty clear) but some are decidedly not (plus sign/gas pump/right arrow/basketball?)

“Because emoji is international in its adoption, we wanted to have fun and be irreverent with our audience,” said Craig Daitch, Chevy’s senior manager for social media. “The release is the first piece of a week-long narrative featuring emoji.” —
