The latest victims of the insane violence in Chicago are two young girls, ages 11 and 12. Both of them were shot in the head in two separate incidents on Saturday.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting that in one incident, an 11-year-old girl was sitting in a vehicle at around 7:40PM when someone fired shots hitting her in the back of her head. She was rushed to the hospital and listed in critical condition. The incident happened on the 6500 block of South King Drive.

Less than an hour earlier, a 12-year-old girl was shot in the head while playing with friends in the city’s West Englewood neighborhood. She was the unintended target in a shooting near the 1900 block of West 57th Street about 7:15 p.m., police said. She too was listed in critical condition.

Two other people were fatally shot and at least four more were wounded Saturday in separate attacks in the city.

Four people were shot, including a 25-year-old woman who has died, in another attack about 8:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Mayfield Avenue, said Hudson and Officer Michelle Tannehill, a police spokeswoman.
