Church Volunteer Charged with Molesting Girl, Having Sex With Her Sister

LOS ANGELES –A volunteer at a church in Diamond Bar has been charged with having a sexual relationship with a minor and molesting her younger sister.

Chee Lim Chook aka Desmond Chook, 55, faces two felony counts each of oral copulation of a person under 18, sexual penetration of a person under 18 and distributing or showing pornography to a minor as well as one count of unlawful sexual intercourse.

Deputy District Attorney Leslie Bouvier said Chook also faces one misdemeanor count of child molesting.

The alleged sexual conduct with the 16-year-old victim occurred at the church where the defendant volunteered, the River of Life Community Church, on or between November 2016 and November 2018.

Chook is charged with molesting the victim’s sister on or between February 2018 and February 2019.

The defendant faces a possible maximum sentence of seven years in state prison if convicted as charged.
