COLORADO SPRINGS — On Monday, Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department responded to Memorial Hospital to a shooting call for service.
Initial information indicated that a 19 year old female reported she had been shot near the area of 21st Street and Bott Ave.
When officers contacted the female, she was suffering from a non-life threatening gunshot wound and after interviewing her, learned that the gunshot wound she sustained was allegedly accidental in nature.
The female reported that her 22 year boyfriend Joseph Hettle accidently shot her while handling a hand gun at her apartment located on the 2300 block of Skyview Ln.
Joseph Hettle was later located and arrested for 2nd Degree Assault.
