Construction Worker Plunges to Death in NYC

EAST HARLEM — A 67-year-old construction worker apparently fell seven stories to his death on Thursday.

Around noon, police responded to a 911 call of an aided individual at 124 East 107 Street within the confines of the 23 Precinct.

Upon arrival, police were directed to the rear of the location and discovered a 62-year-old male construction worker who unconscious and unresponsive. EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was working on a 7th floor of the location replacing roof gutters.

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death, and the investigation is ongoing.
