During a TV interview with CBS New York, Councilwoman Inna Vernikov, representing the 48th District of New York, found herself unexpectedly subjected to a “creepy” kiss from an unknown man in New York City.
In a video shared on Twitter on Thursday, the incident unfolds as Councilwoman Vernikov is being interviewed on Brighton Beach in Brooklyn. Suddenly, a man wearing a hat appears out of nowhere and plants a kiss on her cheek.

Despite the nature of the incident, no formal complaint has been filed with the New York Police Department.
The 48th District encompasses areas such as Brighton Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Sheepshead Bay.
