Trick or Treat? That is a valid question nowadays.
Parents of a 8 year old girl are astonished that their child came home with a large sack of candy and .1 gram of crystal methamphetamine. The parents did not know initially what the bag was until they alerted the authorities. They were then told their child came back with a gram of meth.
Police are now trying to find out who dealt the stash and are trying to prevent this from occurring again.
“This could have been intentional or it could have been accidental and we won’t know until we speak with the person who did this,” said Hercules police Sgt. Ezra Tafesse., adding that there is currently no suspect.
“More than anything, we want to educate the public to inspect their children’s candy before giving it to them,” Tafesse said.
