Russian police have discovered dismembered remains of six children that were killed with an axe after the alarm was raised by the youngsters Grandmother after she had not seen them in over a week.
Police officers broke in to the family apartment through a window to find the dead youngsters, which were aged between and seven, and the body of the pregnant mother in Nizhny Novgrod, east of Moscow.
All members of the family had been hacked to pieces with an axe and bundled into plastic bags, police reported.
Locals in the community said that the father had been recently ex-communicated from the Seventh Day Adventists religious group for allegedly committing adultery.
The children’s 51 year old father, named as Oleg Belov, is suspected of killing his family at their home in the city of Nizhny Novgorod, 250 miles east of Moscow, said official sources.
