Dallas police department have received an anonymous threat against officers across the city.
“The Dallas Police Department received an anonymous threat against law enforcement across the city and has taken precautionary measures” to heighten security, Dallas police said in an emailed statement.
The Dallas Police headquarters has now been placed on lockdown and is currently surrounded by SWAT team vehicles.
Police officers were seen running inside the HQ with weapons drawn.
Dallas Police Department confirmed a threat has been made.
The threat comes just two days after Micah Xavier Johnson shot 12 officers in Dallas, killing five.
